Wow, what a wide swath. From scriggity to war reporters. Yer all over the map, literally and figuratively!
Where are you guys physically. Have you made it to California yet?
Nice discussion Amanda, a very serious issue but you were able to sneak a little humor into it. I wish there was footage of the film up somewhere, there is cool photo on their site, wonder who took it.
Amanda,
Great to hear from people in the fray and on the front lines – but you need to challenge them on their views and observations. They sound like appoligists for the isurgency. They are excusing the killing of civilians and terrorist activity because the insurgents they are talking to don’t like the fact that the US is in IRAQ? They are turned on and energised because the terrorists tell them they could kill them “if this goes wrong, your dead!! That is perverted!!

Amanda:
Great interview. Most insightful. Thank you for spending the time to let them explain their experience. You are a great interviewer. You aren’t considering network television are you?
Nice chairs.
Great interview.
Keep it up, great!
Wow, I will definitely check out this movie.
Also: just my 2 cents, but the handheld video is distracting during an interview. You can pick up a cheap aluminum tripod at Ritz camera or (hiss…)Walmart for $25.
Another movie that everyone should see that is on Google Video:
In Plane Site

When you get to Las Vegas, be sure to ask locals what they know about female white slaves being held against their will as forced sex workers under the casinos. This story was featured on Scarborough Country, if I recall, earlier this year.
guess it’s not an easy topic for people in ’state of denial’. finally someone shows there’s an independent view point. forget fox and cnn and give the voice to the real people. spread it wide!
all in arabic. geezzz… amazing concept. hate subtitled movies though.
Danny is onto something.
I think all the Arabic dialogue should be dubbed over with more uplifting American voices. You know, something that won’t bum people out so it can hopefully make a splash at the box office.
