You could ask questions like:

• What kind of car do you drive?

• Are you connected to the internet?

• What is great about your city/state?

• Would you show us what you have in your trunk?

• Do you know who I am? :)

• Would you object to being waterboarded?

Just some ideas…

Sorry to hear that you’re not going to make the Mothership BBQ meetup for lunch. :(

Hopefully y’all get a chance to eat there another day before you head out. Fantastic Tennesse style BBQ and worth trying.

I’m so bummed. I hope there will be some kind of dinner meet-up tomorrow. I can’t wait. I’ve always wanted to go to Nashville. Never been.

Looks good… I liked the pictures as well. The sum total of all the pictures gave me a really good glimpse into how Greensboro must be like.

You’ll be traveling very close to Smoky Mountains National Park… I can vouch for it as being a beautiful looking park, but also a good example of how smog has cut down visbilities in the park in the last 100 years.

I think… if you keep up what you’ve been doing, asking people about their jobs, life, what their favorite part about town is, and maybe a good story about the town… you’d get some good answers. What social issues are important to them. That sort of thing.

Anyways, if you need someplace to crash in Chicagoland, let me know… but early… I ought to ask my wife first. Also you’ll have a 5-year old yellow lab to contend with. :-)

Man, you’re really making me homesick. I’ve lived in several cities, but consider myself a Greensboro native. It was a great place to grow up (and , as someone mentioned, you missed out on the best BBQ in the country).
And now you’re coming to my new hometown, Knoxville. You and your band of merry men have probably already zipped through but, if not, let me know.

Hello from Winston Salem, NC (roughly 30 miles west of Greensboro). Nice weather we’re having now. It was boiling hot this summer.

Some possible questions that should give some fun answers:

“What do you really like about yourself?”

“If you had it all to do over again, what is the one thing you would not do?”

“If you could give your message to the whole wide world, what would it be?”

Surely you all are making Charles Kuralt proud!

If you see a cross-eyed guy with a banjo…DON’T STOP!!

Great Stone Face - 09/28/2006 20:31:09

If you came from somewhere else to this place, why?

If you’ve always lived here, what’s the best thing about it?

Who is the most fascinating person in this town?

We’ll forgive you this year, but when you’re famous-er next year, we expect you back at ConvergeSouth.

I, too, will be making my permanent home in CA, after 35 years in the Pacific NW. Call it a mid-life crisis! Best of luck to you on your ROADTRIP and in your new home…what part of california?
