Meetup.com is geographically organized more than it is topic organized. I think it would be hard to have a general AmandaAcrossAmerica group, because it would have to be “based” in a particular city. At least that is my understanding from past usages. So, for any particular place you want to meetup, you’d have to have someone in that area create a meetup group for A.A.A., then local folks could sign up to attend.
I’ve emailed meetup.com to find out if one could create a “floating” group that moved from city to city.
For you guys, it might just be easier to do it on the wiki, creating a page for each place you want to meetup, and then letting people sign up and edit the page to suggest places to meet.

Good point, Joe. I will update my request
If it goes down, don’t forget to take lots of pictures and video for all of us who can’t be there!!
If you’re looking for a good place to kick back over a beer, the Brickskeller is where it’s at. I took Jonny Goldstein and Carl Weaver there a couple of weeks ago. It’s half a block north of 22nd and P St NW, just west of Dupont Circle.
See you tomorrow! -andy

Just one question (and i hope this hasn’t been addressed yet):
Why does Next point to the left and Pref point to the right? That is SO backwards!!!
Seriously though, I’m enjoying the vlog so far – great to have Amanda back!
If you’re lacking for a hotel, you may be able to find a youth hostel. People who stay at hostels are always willing to talk about their travels. http://hiusa.org
You’ve Got To Get Your Name All Over the Place: How To Break Into Tech Journalism…
"Every now and then I rouse the Reel Pop staff from their drool-puddling torpor and send them a-mucking in the back alleys of video-sharing sites, places where the glorious light of ‘most viewed today’ doesn’t reach. And then dutifully, like……
Do I detect some spam in the comment before this one?
You should be able to hear the sad sighing from the Capital Hill area. I have unbreakable plans for Monday night. If you’re still in DC through lunch Tuesday, definitely head to the National Museum of the American Indian to tour and get a great local meal. The building is one that Chuck Olsen would love; the ouside is covered with Kasota dolomitic limestone from Minnesota. I should have added that to the wiki.
damn, I didn’t know about this till now, I would have loved to meet up.. aaahhhh
I’m so bummed! I was just in D.C. from the 20th thru 27th, and even checked out Brickskeller. It would have been fun to meet you and talk a little about your adventures. Cheers!
