Imus Have Been Crazy — 1) best headline I’ve seen in a long time, 2) ultimately there are better things for us to do than rail on Imus… but I’m glad the incident has opened up this conversation. Chris Rock could have gotten away with it, Sarah Silverman could’ve too, but a guy who has presidential candidates on his show definitely shouldn’t go there– is that how it works?

For people who don’t wash their hands after going to the bathroom — I’d be for it if it was proven to work, meaning, if people really took it seriously and followed its command. E coli isn’t hot.

VT shooter wrote ‘Ismail Ax’ in red ink on his arm. Want to know why? ‘To quote Indiana Jones, “Didn’t an…Ohhh I wondered what “Ismail Ax” meant when it was first reported, but it seemed to have fallen by the wayside. That “Catholic Priest” reference in his story makes me think he might have been dealing with sexual abuse issues… but that’s me playing shrink.

Surgical robots work under MRI — will there come a time when doctors stop getting their hands, or gloves, dirty altogether? You know what comes next? Doctors performing surgery remotely. The best doctor for your particular condition in London? No prob! He’ll perform surgery on you from there (if you can fork over the cash).

‘American Idol’ Says Sayonara to Sanjaya — I don’t care what you say– I love “Idol” and if Lakisha had gone instead of sideshow Sanjaya I would have been pissed. Sorry Howard Stern! Better luck next time. America, thanks for coming to your senses this week. I might have gone on a hunger strike myself if things went otherwise.

I understand it’s important to know about the VT tragedy and who did the shooting and why, but I like what you did on your ABC video blog where you focused on the people who did not survive the shooting and their families, as well as the students who were fortunate to have survived. Yes thats more of what I’m looking to see. That device for people who don’t wash their hands looks neat, you are correct Amanda E coli isn’t hot. :-)

I bet I’m not the only one who has been surprised how deeply the VT shootings have ached. Too many echoes, too many parallels.

I think we all need to get together and watch Idol, throw popcorn and corny jokes at the screen and just forget everything else for a while. Somebody get a chatroom set up.
