Agree wholeheartedly with John above. We're getting to the one year anniversary of that particular "Independence Day" and it seems unbelievable you've come so far in such a short time. So many projects done so well. ABC transition was in no way a shoe-in, but you've found your audience there for sure...#1 overnight with this week's show, ditto the Indy 500, #1 after a few days with a number of other vids, and a couple of weeks with 2 in the top 5. Your audience has found you. The AMEX project is classy and really benefits from your special "something" which is completely unique and utterly charming. I think the thing I notice most is your comfort and confidence with the camera. You're right, because that's where you belong.

I really liked that, Amanda! I thought the imaging was very good; it came off as very professional. I am not an AMEX cardholder nor will I be, but I enjoyed thevideo and the project sounds interesting.

When the Amex renewal came in the mail a few months ago I was torn. I have been trying to simplify my life, and one of the biggies was dumping a bunch of the plastic that I've latched onto over the years (or maybe it's the other way around?). I had no qualms about ditching a the bank-issued cards I'd picked up here and there to get a cheapo intro interest rate or some other freebie.

But when it came to Amex I had to stop and think. I've had the card forever and it has bailed me out of tight spots more than once -- gotta love a card with no pre-set spending limit. I even charged a funeral on it once, honest to God.

In the end I swallowed hard and wrote them a check for 55 bucks, putting off the end of our relationship for another year. Now I'm so glad I did.

All I have to do now is think of a way to spend 4 million bucks (I've already deducted the million I'll need for my new McLaren F1).

It would not have probably happened without it, but what a great developement out of that unfortunate transition. Keep on Bloggin'
